Samrala Police arrest Nigerian with 2kg of Heroin and other drugs

Samrala Police claimed to have arrested an inter state drug supplier who is an Nigerian National and recovered 2 kg of Heroin, 15 gm Cocaine and 18 gm of Ice drug from his possession. The arrested have been identified as Emecca Ekechi Okalia S/o Okalia R/o Nigeria and at present  residing at Ramapark Gali No. 2, House no. 59 New Delhi.

 Dhruv Dahiya IPS, SSP/Khanna disclosed in a  press Conference that a police party of Samrala Police led by  Harsimrat Singh, PPS, DSP/Samrala, Insp. Manjit Singh SHO/Samrala along with police party had laid a naka at Neelon Bridge for checking. During  checking the Police party stopped a suspected person, who was coming from Neelon bus stand side to Samrala side on foot having a bag in his hands. During the search of his bag the police party   recovered two lady purses from the bag out of which one purse was containing a packet of 2 kg Heroin while the other purse have 15 gms Cocaine and 18 gm Ice Drug from the custody of above said accused. A case U/S 21/61/85 NDPS Act P.S. Samrala has been registered against the above said accused at Samrala Police Station and he was arrested on the spot said SSP.

  SSP gave information that the alleged person had brought this consignement from Delhi and was going towards Ludhiana but was arrested by the Samrala Police. SSP stated that the smugglers are now taking changed routes in place of direct routes to save themselves from the eyes of police.

SSP stated that as per perliminary investigation the alleged accused had come to Delhi in 2008 and was at Delhi till 2016 and in 2016 he went back to Nigeria and later again he come back in 2016 last and was residing in Delhi till now. SSP said that the alleged accused had already supplied drugs in last some months but he was out of eyes of police till now. SSP admitted that there are supply routes and chains of drug suppliers in the state and the police is trying its best to broke the supply routes and chains by arresting major suppliers. SSP said that Emecca is the fifth Nigerian arrested by Khanna Police in last one year. SP(I) Khanna Jasvir Singh, DSP (I) Khanna JS Cheema, DSP Samrala HS Chhetra and other concerned officials of Khanna Police District were present during the press conference.
