Amritsar: A fire broke out in Mochi Bazaar of Amritsar city cause to death of three sisters, who burnt alive in congested area of Amritsar. “The Incident occurred in the evening and three burnt sisters are identified as Indu (45) who as maaried woman and the other are two unmarried Preeti (32) and Vandna (30)”, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Jagjit Singh Walia.
The officer said that it was very difficult to recognise the women as they burnt very badly. The two unmarried charred women were came from Delhi to here to meet their elderly married sister Indu.
Police said that in the evening people living in the area noticed smoke and reached on the spot but nobody was opening the door inspite of repeated knock at the main door of the house, hence police and Fire tenders were informed who swung into action break opened the door to gain entry in the burning house. On reaching inside, police found three bodies badly charred with some objectionable articles. The officer said that forensic investigation is going on.
